Hello, my name is Kim Pyle. I started Whole Pets Austin in January 2009 after spending most of the previous year contracting for a local pet-sitting & dog-walking business and experiencing the rewards of caring for companion animals. Thank you, Monica, for introducing me to this vast new world!
Since then I have joined the Austin Pet Sitters Organization and Pet Sitters International, become certified in Pet CPR and disaster relief, and recently I signed on at West End Grooming as a bather. West End has given me the opportunity to learn about the characteristics of a great many breeds and mix-breeds. I've also had fun getting to know regular canine clients and making my own top 10-list!
As 2010 unfolds, I am excited to explore the very cool practice of animal-assisted therapy, AAT, while continuing to build and expand Whole Pets Austin. By the way, Rare Magazine's February issue has a great feature on Therapy Pet Pals of Texas.
A life-long pet owner and animal lover, I bring an innate understanding of domestic animals to this work. I am grateful to say that Amber, who has helped tremendously when I am unable to manage visits, also possesses the skills and compassion necessary to make a pet sitter great.
The Whole Pets Austin philosophy is shaped by a curiosity about, connection to and respect for all animals. We are committed to serving the specific needs of our clients and to developing long-term, nurturing relationships with their canines and felines.
